Steady Pace with Strong Mid-Race Progress Leah Kelly from Medford, MA, delivered a consistent race performance in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting strong with a 12:33 min/mile pace for the first mile, Leah improved her pace to 12:03 min/mile in the second mile, demonstrating a great ability to adjust and push forward. Her elapsed pace for the entire race was 12:32 min/mile, finishing the 10K in 1:17:47. Leah's perseverance showed as she climbed a significant number of places throughout the race. Beginning at 3987th overall, she advanced to 2616th by the end, indicating a strong finish. Notably, Leah's transition from mile 4 to 5 saw a big leap in her division placement from 1296th to 984th. Maintaining such steady progress, especially in the second half of the race, was key to her success. Working on maintaining speed with less variation in splits will further aid future performances.
