Consistent Middle Splits and Strong Finish Whitney Kauranen completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with an overall time of 1:16:12 for the 6.2-mile course, maintaining an average pace of 12:17 min/mile. Notably, her performance improved over the course of the race, particularly between the fourth and fifth mile, where she advanced significantly in the overall ranks, moving from 3536th to 2754th place. Consistency was evident through her middle splits, with paces of 12:08 and 12:10 min/mile for miles 3 and 4, respectively. Although there was a slight slowdown at mile 5 with a 13:02 pace, she quickly regained momentum to finish the race strong. For a smoother experience, maintaining uniform effort particularly in the middle splits can help sustain energy levels through the finish. Well done on completing the race, Whitney!
