Consistent Pace with Strong Mid-Race Recovery Candace started her 10K race with a first mile split of 11:01, gradually increasing her pace in the next few miles. By the second mile, she improved her pace to 10:36, showing a commendable adjustment. Her split times remained mostly consistent, ranging from 10:36 to 11:04 throughout the race. Notably, her quickest segment, split five, was completed in 10:50, marking a substantial improvement in her position by moving from 2709th to 2122nd overall. Overall, Candace completed the race in 1:07:30 at an average pace of 10:53 per mile, placing her 1060th in her division. Despite a little fluctuation in pace, the significant jump in standings during mile five indicates an increase in endurance and competitive spirit. For future races, one focus may be maintaining a slightly more aggressive start, similar to her successful fifth-mile performance. Keep up the great work, Candace!
