Consistent Improvement with Quick Splits Michelle Cannon showed a steady improvement throughout her 10K race. Starting with a pace of 10:01 min/mile, Michelle progressively quickened her pace. By mile 2, she had improved to a 9:42 min/mile pace, and she maintained a steady pace in the mid 9-minute range for the rest of the race. Her most impressive split was between miles 4 and 5, where she achieved a split pace of 9:23 min/mile. Overall, Michelle finished the race with an impressive total time of 59:04, averaging a pace of 9:31 min/mile. She maintained a consistent forward progression in her position, beginning at 1843rd place overall and advancing steadily to finish 1478th overall. Within her division (F50-59), she achieved a commendable 98th place. Michelle's ability to maintain and slightly improve her pace throughout the race is a positive indicator of her conditioning and race strategy.
