Consistent Performance with Progressive Speed Increase Devin Baker from Watertown, MA, showcased a well-paced race, maintaining a strong and consistent effort throughout the Boston 10K for Women. Starting with a 10:53 min/mile pace for the first mile, Devin demonstrated an impressive negative split strategy, progressively increasing her speed. By the fifth mile, she hit a 9:59 min/mile pace, reflecting her ability to sustain and even enhance her performance as the race progressed. Though she finished with an elapsed time of 1:03:31, her steady pace of 10:14 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course suggests strong endurance and efficiency in her running technique. Importantly, Devin's placement improved significantly between Miles 2 to 6, moving from 2627th overall to 1447th by the finish.
