Consistently Strong Splits Dana Brennan completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with a total time of 47:18 and an impressive average pace of 7:37 min/mile. Throughout the race, she maintained consistent and progressively faster mile splits, beginning with 8:05 min/mile at the start and finishing strong with her fastest split of 7:13 min/mile for the last mile. This pacing strategy allowed her to consistently move up in the ranks, finishing 227th overall and 27th in the F40-49 division against a total field of 5663 participants. Her ability to accelerate as the race progressed is notable, especially in the latter half of the race, where each mile was successively faster than the last. Focusing on the excellent execution of negative splits, future races could be targeted with more aggressive pacing at earlier stages while maintaining the finishing strength that Dana displayed in this race.
