Consistent Early Splits with a Focus on Strong Finish Amy Atwood, from Sagamore Beach, MA, completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with an overall time of 1:16:26, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. Her initial splits were very consistent, with the first 1-mile completed in 11:05, and the pace remaining just above the 11-minute mark for the ensuing miles. However, a slower pace was noted in the fourth mile, where the split jumped to 14:10 per mile. Amy's performance improved in the latter stages as she registered significant overall and gender rank improvements in miles 5 and 6 compared to earlier in the race. She finished the 10K at an average pace of 12:19 min/mile. Focusing on maintaining endurance during the mid-race section could help improve future performances.
