Strong Division Performance at the Boston 10K Richard Ainsworth, age 76, representing Team Big Bird from Cambridge, MA, completed the 2025 Boston 10K for Women with a total elapsed time of 1:47:35 and an overall pace of 17:21 min/mile. Notably, Richard demonstrated strong placement within his division, finishing as the second participant in the M70-79 age category. Richard started the race with a solid 16:29 split for the first mile, and progressively worked through each mile, maintaining a consistent pace across various splits. Miles four and five saw improved split paces of 17:08 and 17:04, respectively, displaying a strong push through the latter part of the race. While there was a slight deceleration in the final mile, maintaining focus on pacing for the back half of the race could further enhance his overall performance in future events.
