Consistent Start, Strong Finish Lauren maintained an impressive pace through her race, starting with a swift first mile at 6:42 min/mile that placed her 27th overall. While the second mile saw a slight slow down with a 7:13 min/mile pace, she displayed remarkable consistency throughout the middle segment, averaging just over 7:20 min/mile. By the fourth and fifth miles, although there was a gradual slowing to a 7:50 min/mile in mile five, her controlled pace allowed her to finish the race strong at an overall pace of 7:19 min/mile. In a field of 5663 participants, her elapsed time of 45:25 is commendable, placing her 170th overall. Laurens performance in the F30-39 category saw a respectable finish at 48th. To improve further, focusing on maintaining early speed and managing pace in the middle miles could offer fruitful gains.
