Consistent Early Performance with Gradual Slowdown Observed Jen Nguyen from Saugus, MA, ran a 10K race with a total time of 1:08:06, maintaining an average pace of 10:59 min/mile. Starting strong, Jen's first mile split was 9:54 min/mile, ranking 491st among females. The second mile pace slowed slightly to 10:24 min/mile, resulting in a drop in the gender category. The gradual slowdown continued across the subsequent miles, with her final split at mile 6 clocking in at 11:26 min/mile. Overall placement was 2915th out of 5663 participants. While Jen maintained a consistent effort throughout the race, working on pacing strategies could help prevent the pace drop observed in the later stages.
