Consistent Start with Strong Finish Pauline Maes began her 10K race with consistent speed, maintaining a steady pace in the first three miles. Starting with an 8:49 min/mile pace for the first mile, she showed solid performance through mile three, with each split slightly increasing: 8:53 min/mile at mile two and 8:59 min/mile by mile three. She held a stable position within her division, staying close to or below the 270th place mark initially. Towards the latter half of the race, Pauline faced slight decreases in pace, ending with a 9:32 min/mile average. However, her overall performance was commendable as she managed a finishing time of 59:03 for the 10K, demonstrating endurance over the entire distance. Her splits show an area to focus on for improvement could be maintaining split consistency as she pushes through the latter segments of a race.
