Consistent and Strong Effort with Positive Split Challenges Ava Serrano maintained a strong pace throughout the Boston 10K for Women. She started with a swift 7:27 minute mile, setting a solid foundation. While her pace gradually slowed, with mile times ranging from 7:38 to 8:07, she demonstrated consistency. Her overall pace for the 10K was a steady 7:45 min/mile, completing the event in 48:06. Her placements experienced some variation, starting at 66th overall and settling in at 268th among a large field of 5663 participants. Despite the trend of slowing splits, Ava's ability to stay within a consistent range of pace (7:27 to 8:07) shows great endurance. Focusing on maintaining initial speeds through later miles could further improve performance. She should be proud of maintaining a strong effort in such a large field.
