Consistent Mid-race Performance with Room for Strategic Pacing Emily Tibbetts participated in the 2025 Boston 10K for Women and demonstrated a steady approach throughout the race. Starting strong with an opening mile of 8:37, her pacing improved in the second mile with a split time of 7:58. During miles three and four, Emily maintained an 8:18 and 8:37 pace, respectively, which shows her potential for consistently maintaining her effort. The race concluded with an elapsed time of 53:04, averaging an 8:33 pace across 6.2 miles, placing her in 658th overall out of 5663 participants. Notably, Emily's rank improved within her division halfway through the race, particularly in the second mile. For future races, focusing on maintaining the acceleration seen in the second mile could be beneficial. Mile four and five observed a slight pace increase, and minimizing that dip would further optimize her performance.
