Steady Pacing and Strong Mid-Race Surge Nicole Thom delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Boston 10K for Women. Starting with a pace of 9:52 min/mile for the first mile, she picked up momentum, exemplified by her third-mile split of 9:08 min/mile, moving from 124th to 81st in her division. Her ability to maintain a strong pace was evident as she recorded slight improvements in her splits, particularly during the 2nd to 4th miles. Notably, her fourth mile at 9:02 min/mile was her fastest, showcasing a remarkable mid-race surge. While she finished with an elapsed time of 58:20 and an overall pace of 9:24 min/mile, her efforts in the early miles provided a solid foundation. Ending 85th in her division out of numerous competitors is commendable.
