Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Samantha Vail demonstrated an impressive consistency throughout the 10K, maintaining a steady pace across all splits. Her initial mile began with a pace of 10:42 min/mile, and she improved slightly to 10:36 by the second mile. From there, she sustained her pace between 10:29 and 10:40 min/mile for the remaining miles, ultimately finishing with an average pace of 10:35 min/mile. Her performance saw notable improvements in positioning as well. Starting out at 2557th place overall, she progressively climbed in the ranks, making a significant jump to 1945th at the 5th mile. Samantha completed the race in 1:05:41, finishing 2544th overall out of 5663 participants. Handling the middle miles with smooth transitions, her performance was consistently solid, making her a strong representative for "Sammys clan". As a coach, I'd suggest focusing on maintaining the momentum from mile five to further enhance her overall time.
