Consistent Performance Across Splits Carolyn maintained a steady pace throughout the 10K, demonstrating consistency in her performance. Starting strong, she clocked a 7:25 min/mile pace in the first mile, ranking 7th in her age division. Although her pace slightly reduced over the course of the race, reaching an 8:01 min/mile by mile six, she remained competitive. Her average pace was recorded at 7:45 min/mile. In her age division F40-49, Carolyn consistently stayed in the top 31 despite the change in pace. Her strongest placement was in the first mile. She skillfully regained some ground in the final mile, improving her division placement from 31st to 26th. This suggests a well-managed race strategy. While there was a gradual slowdown, analyzing how to maintain those initial mile splits across the remaining distance could further enhance her performance. Her finish in this celebrated event is commendable.
