Impressively, Susan demonstrated a strong conclusion to her race, moving from 4243rd to 2126th overall after the third mile. This was a significant improvement, particularly in her division, where she climbed over 120 spots between the third and fifth mile. Examining each mile, Susan's fastest split was the fourth mile at 8:15 min/mile. Another notable performance was her fifth-mile split of 8:14 min/mile, showcasing her ability to sustain a steady pace towards the end. While a slower third mile at 18:05 min/mile provided a challenge, her performance in later segments reflected adaptation and resilience.
