Starting at a pace of 19:10 min/mile, Kelsey completed the first mile in 19:10. Her overall pace slightly slowed during the second and third miles, registering 20:11 min/mile, before settling into a consistent rhythm for the remainder of the race. Significantly, Kelsey displayed a substantial improvement in the final two miles with her best split time of 18:23 during the fifth mile.
