Strong Division Leader Kelson Crawford showcased solid performance during the 2026 Capital City 5 Mile race. Clocking in at an impressive 33:52 with an average pace of 6:46 min/mile, he consistently held the top spots in his division (M25-29). Starting with a powerful first mile at 6:50, he maintained a steady pace, even improving slightly with a second mile split of 6:42. Despite a slight dip in the fourth mile with a pace of 7:04, he recuperated promptly to finish strong with a 6:32 split in the final mile. Kelson ranked 2nd in his division, fending off other competitors throughout. His overall results placed him 14th out of 1,074 participants and 13th in gender. While there was a bit of variability in the fourth mile, which caused a positional shift, his ability to recover and finish strong is notable. Continuing to refine pacing strategy could see even greater results in future races.
