Consistent Effort with Gradual Pacing Decline Joanna Bernal maintained a steady pace throughout the Eugene Marathon Half. Starting with an 11:43 min/mile in the first mile, she improved through the second and third miles with paces of 11:31 and 11:20 min/mile, respectively. Her most efficient split was mile six at 11:16 min/mile, reflecting strong mid-race energy. Pace slightly decreased in the later stages. She recorded a 12:08 min/mile for the tenth mile. This slight decline continued through the end, finishing the last official mile with a 12:06 min/mile pace. Joanna completed the 13.1-mile course with an average pace of 11:43 min/mile, placing 1928th among female competitors and 256th in her F35-39 age group. There's a noticeable gap in performance consistency during later miles that could be a future focus, along with strategies to maintain her earlier momentum.
