Consistent Pace with Mid-Race Surge Tony Lozzetti demonstrated skillful pacing during the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half Marathon, finishing with a total time of 1:47:23, maintaining an average pace of 8:11 minutes per mile. Notably, between miles 3 and 7, Tony made significant progress, shaving off time and improving relative positions. For instance, at mile 6, Tony recorded a split time of 7:48, resulting in an advancement to 633rd in overall placement, compared to earlier positions. Although mile 9's pace of 8:27 and miles 11 through 13 showed a slight deceleration, ending with an 8:43 split at mile 13, the bulk of Tony's splits remained consistent. Ending with an overall position of 819 out of 5458 participants highlights an admirable achievement. Focus could be directed toward maintaining a more even pace throughout the latter part of the race to sustain early gains. Nonetheless, well done on executing a strong performance!
