Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Kris Pearce from Eugene, OR, delivered a consistent performance throughout the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half Marathon, finishing with a time of 1:58:40. Maintaining an overall average pace of 9:03 min/mile, Kris demonstrated steady pacing, with split times varying only slightly. Notably, Kris started strong and improved over the course, with the last three miles being particularly faster, clocking paces of 8:49, 8:54, and a swift 8:40 min/mile on mile 12. Starting at a pace of 9:26 min/mile for the first mile, Kris incrementally increased the tempo, particularly evident in the second half of the race, where she consistently pushed for sub-9:00 min/mile splits from mile 7 onwards. Her performance in the Female 40-44 division resulted in a finish position of 72nd out of the total 5458 participants. Continuing to build on this closing strength will further enhance overall performance in future races.
