Consistent Effort with Steady Splits Kitty Anderson demonstrated a commendable level of consistency and perseverance throughout the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half Marathon. Kitty began with a promising first mile split of 11:49, maintaining a controlled pace with minor variations during the race. Notably, Kittys most brisk segment occurred between miles two and three, posting an 11:33 min/mile pace. Ending the race strong, Kitty ranked 21st in her F65-69 division, competing against a wide field of 5,458 total participants. Although her position fluctuated throughout the race, she notably jumped from 20th to 17th place within her division during the eighth mile. Moving forward, maintaining this strong pace and focusing on reducing the late-stage slowdowns, such as the 14:46 min/mile in the final mile, will be key to enhanced results in upcoming events.
