Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Earns Top Honors in Half Marathon Noah Rasmussen showcased an outstanding performance at the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half Marathon, securing top positions throughout the race. With an impressive overall first-place finish, Noah demonstrated excellent pacing strategies, maintaining a consistent average pace of 4:59 min/mile across 13.1 miles. Highlighted by a strong start with 4:53 min/mile for the first mile, Noah briefly placed second at mile three, hitting a split pace of 5:02 min/mile. However, he quickly regained and maintained the lead, demonstrating his endurance and speed. Of particular note was Noah's ability to decrease his split pace under 5:00 min/mile on multiple occasions, including a remarkable 4:50 min/mile during the sixth mile. Concluding the race with an elapsed time of 1:05:19, Noah's training and mental toughness were evident. A small variation in split times from miles nine to eleven suggests an area to focus on for continuous improvement. Nevertheless, finishing first among 5458 participants is an admirable accomplishment.
