Consistent Pacing Leads to Strong Finish During the 2026 Eugene Marathon, Alex Aeschliman demonstrated impressive pacing consistency, maintaining an average pace of 6:44 min/mile over the 26.2 miles. This consistent pace helped Alex to secure 2nd place in the F20-24 division among a highly competitive field. Notably, Alex maintained a steady rhythm, with the pace variation between splits kept minimal, particularly notable with splits ranging from 6:30 to 6:53 min/mile. Alex's strategic push in the middle stages of the race, achieving the fastest split of 6:30 at mile 6, played a crucial role in her overall performance. Maintaining her speed in later stages, Alex secured an overall time of 2:56:37. A more uniform pace towards the latter part of the race might further enhance her finishing position.
