Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Hayden Hampton demonstrated a steady pace during the initial half of the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half Marathon, with early miles showing promising consistency. Beginning with a pace of 11:33 min/mile in the first mile, he improved to 11:07 min/mile by the third mile. His performance during the first half of the race was marked by consistent pacing, especially between miles 1-3 and 4-6. However, Hayden encountered some challenges in the latter miles, leading to a gradual pace decline. Notably, the final mile was completed at 13:32 min/mile, contributing to an overall finish time of 2:39:53 and a pace of 12:12 min/mile. Despite a more difficult second half, Hayden finished 222nd in his division, effectively representing Newberg, OR, amongst 5,458 competitors.
