Consistent Early Pace with a Tough Finish Emilia Harris maintained a consistent pace throughout the early miles of the 2026 Eugene Marathon Half. Her initial splits were impressive, showing a steady pace between 11:01 and 11:13 min/mile up to mile 4, demonstrating strong control. Splitting 11:13 in the first mile, she managed to quicken slightly to 10:50 in the second, an area of strength as she held a stable pace up to the halfway point, culminating with a 56:40 split at mile 5. In the latter half, there was a noticeable slowdown beginning from mile 9, with a split of 13:38 prompting a decline in her pace to 14:25 by mile 13. This contributed to an overall elapsed time of 2:41:24, with a pace of 12:19 min/mile. For future races, focusing on stamina during later miles could prove beneficial.
