Consistent Pacing with Strong Finish Jarrad Hodge maintained a steady pace in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K event, completing the 10K with an elapsed time of 1:27:00 and an average pace of 14:01 min/mile. He showed a consistent performance, starting with a split of 14:13 min/mile for the first mile and slightly increasing his pace to 13:34 min/mile in the second mile. Although there was a noticeable slowdown in the third mile at 16:22 min/mile, Jarrad managed to regain momentum, reaching increasingly faster splits in miles four and five, at 14:01 and 13:11 min/mile, respectively. Jarrad placed 1308th overall out of 2010 participants and secured 84th place in his M35-39 division. His best pace was observed in the second mile, achieving a time of 12:56 min/mile. Focusing on maintaining the improved pace seen in the second and fifth mile could result in better overall race times in future races.
