Consistent Pace, Impressive Improvement for Sergio Sergio Carbajal delivered a remarkable performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Completing the race in 1:25:38, he maintained an impressive overall pace of 6:32 min/mile over the 13.1 miles. Notably, his final mile was one of his fastest, clocking in at just 6:21 min/mile. Starting strong with a slightly slower 6:43 min/mile for the first mile, Sergio consistently improved his pace mid-race to finish in the top 2% of participants. Sergio showed significant progress from his previous performance, reducing his half marathon time by almost 8 minutes from last year's race. His consistent pacing strategy allowed him to improve his placement across the board, climbing from 212th to 82nd overall, and from 33rd to 18th in his division.
