Consistent Early Pacing, With Opportunity in Later Splits Marisela Sheldon showcased a steady start at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. In the first mile, she maintained a promising pace at 12:45 min/mile, which positioned her 1412th in her gender and 292nd in her division. Her performance observed some fluctuation as she continued, with notable consistency from miles 3 to 5 achieving splits of 12:36 and 12:33 min/mile respectively. These particular splits indicated a solid strategy for the mid-race phase, maintaining steady placement within her gender and division categories. In the later stages, Marisela experienced a slowdown with mile 8 presenting as the most taxing, resulting in a 22:49 min/mile split. Despite the challenges, she completed the half marathon in 3:34:34 with an average pace of 16:22 min/mile.
