Steady Progress with a Strong Division Finish Blake Bruneman participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, demonstrating consistent pacing throughout the race. Starting with a split pace of 8:11 min/mile, he gradually improved his performance, achieving a faster pace of 7:43 min/mile between the first and second mile. While his overall pace slightly decreased towards the end, he maintained an admirable average pace of 8:04 min/mile over the entirety of the 6.2-mile course. Blake's effort was reflected in his finishing positions, moving from 120th overall at the first mile to a final position of 102nd out of 2010 participants. Notably, he secured a commendable 9th place finish in his division of M25-29. Maintaining a consistent pace, especially between miles 3 and 5, could help improve overall performance in future events.
