His overall average pace was consistent at 8:10 min/mile, which is notably faster than last year's 10:37 min/mile. Throughout the race, William maintained a steady improvement in pace, especially noticeable between miles 1 and 12, where he achieved a split as fast as 7:58 min/mile. Despite a slight slowdown on mile 8 to a pace of 8:23 min/mile, he secured an overall placement of 694 out of 4907 participants, improving his division placement from 301st to 127th in the M30-34 category.
