Consistent Start and Strong Finish at the Houston Half Marathon Olivia Gonzalez maintained a fairly consistent pace during the early portions of her half marathon, beginning with a 12:06-minute mile for the first mile and showing incremental increases up to a 12:29-minute mile by the 8-mile mark. Her pacing varied more in the latter stages, especially after mile 8, where the elapsed pace dropped to 13:17-minute miles for two consecutive miles. However, the last mile was completed in 16:15, bringing the overall pace to 13:10 minutes per mile. Throughout the race, Olivia kept a steady pace, resulting in a final time of 2:52:30. Despite a decrease in ranking by finish, she placed consistently well within her division, ending 277th out of the entrants in the F30-34 category. A focus on maintaining pace after the 8-mile mark could improve overall time in future races. Olivia's participation with the Friends For Life Running Team shows her commitment to running and community.
