Steady Start, Slower Finish Marcos showed impressive consistency in the initial stages of the race, maintaining a steady pace with split times between 7:15 to 7:23 minutes per mile in the first three miles. Marcos started strong, placing 266th overall after the first mile, and he slightly adjusted his pace during the second mile. This consistency led to a time of 22:09 by the third mile. As the miles progressed, there was a noticeable decrease in pace, highlighted by the tenth mile where the split pace reached 8:18 minutes per mile. This trend continued through the last few miles, with an overall elapsed time of 1:43:26 and maintaining an average pace of 7:53 minutes per mile over the 13.1-mile distance. For future races, focusing on sustaining speed in the latter part of the course could enhance performance. Overall, a steady effort with room to refine pacing strategy in the later stages.
