Consistent Start with Potential for Even Splits Yu Kuan Pan executed a strategic start in the 2025 UTHealth Houston 10K. The initial mile showed a strong pace of 10:15 min/mile, moving to 10:01 min/mile by the second mile, proving his capability to adjust and optimize. However, the third mile experienced a slower pace of 11:25 min/mile, indicating a need to maintain consistency. By the fourth mile, adjustments could be seen but the pace further decreased to 12:10 min/mile. During the fifth and sixth miles, consistency in split times of 12:20 min/mile was maintained. Ending the race with an average pace of 11:18 min/mile, Yu Kuan placed 75th in his division and 411th in his gender category. Focus can be beneficial on maintaining splits and pacing especially during the mid-race miles to reflect the strong start across the entire race. Keep up the consistent efforts and target gradual steadiness in pace.
