Consistent Performance Achieved in the Half Marathon Cineyris Davila from Katy, TX completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with a final time of 1:53:58, maintaining a steady pace of 8:42 minutes per mile. She secured the 9th position in her division (F50-54) out of a sizable field of 4907 participants. Notable consistency was observed in her pacing, with splits predominantly ranging between 8:34 and 8:57 minutes per mile. An especially commendable section was mile 5, where she achieved her fastest split pace of 8:34 min/mile. Her overall placement was 1068th, and she finished 226th among female participants. Compared to her previous 10K race, the adjustments to pacing illustrate persistent effort, and slightly slower splits could be explored for efficiency. Kudos for maintaining such a consistent pace throughout the race. Continuing to focus on maintaining speed for each mile could lead to even stronger finishes in subsequent races.
