First in Division with Steady Improvement Lucas Xie showcased remarkable improvement in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. Clocking a final time of 1:08:43 with an elapsed pace of 11:05 min/mile, Lucas secured 1st place in both their gender and division categories. The consistency in pace was evident throughout the race with split paces from 10:53 to 11:32 minutes per mile, indicating a well-managed effort and strategy. Strong adjustments were observed between the second and third mile, enhancing their position overall. Compared to the previous year's performance, Lucas has significantly improved from a 1:21:43 finish time and a pace of 13:10 min/mile. The advancement from the 1498th overall position to 752nd this year is noteworthy. These results highlight an enhanced training regimen and dedication to performance. Continuing to refine pacing strategies and maintaining consistency will be key for further developments in future races.
