Steady Start with Potential for Growth Nahvein maintained a consistent performance throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. The first half of the race showed promising pacing trends, starting with a strong 10:17 min/mile pace and then slightly improving in the second mile to 10:03 min/mile. However, after the third mile, there was a gradual slowdown, particularly in the fifth and sixth miles where the pace increased to 11:47 and 12:02 min/mile, respectively. In terms of placement, Nahvein held stable positioning in the M25-29 division until mile four, but experienced a drop in the second half of the race. Ending with an 11:01 min/mile pace and an overall time of 1:08:20, there is clear potential for speed improvement in the later miles. Focus on maintaining early paces across the latter half of the race could enhance performance substantially in future events.
