Steady Improvement in Half Marathon Performance Cheri LaBelle completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an impressive elapsed time of 2:04:19 and an overall pace of 9:29 min/mile. Noteworthy consistency was observed in the first half of the race, maintaining split paces close to her average, maximizing her pacing ability. Between mile markers 4 and 7, splits ranged primarily between 9:05 and 9:19 min/mile, showing controlled pacing. Her overall placement was 1685 out of 4907 participants, which is a commendable improvement compared to last year's performance in the same event. In comparison to the previous race in 2024, Cheri improved her finishing time by 3 minutes and 32 seconds, shaving off 16 seconds per mile from her pace. Furthermore, her placing in the F35-39 division improved from 69th to 63rd.
