Date: October 10th to 11th, 2026 Participant: Andrew Kwok #3783 Race: 2026 Long Beach Half Marathon

13.1 Coastal Miles, Banked at 10:43 a Mile The marine light stayed grey all morning, the threatened rain and wind never arrived, and the harbour handed over just about perfect running weather. Andrew Kwok took it and ran: out of the start at 9:42 for the opening mile, 9:42 again for the second, and through three miles in 29:01 with the salt air coming off the water and the city out on the kerbs. From Shoreline Drive past the Queen Mary, out through Belmont Shore and back along the beach path, that rhythm carried all the way to Marina Green 2:20:23 for the half, an average of 10:43 per mile, one finish among 16,531 in the half marathon on a sold-out weekend of more than 28,000 runners. Alhambra representing, Renaissance In Motion on the singlet, and Long Beach proud to have hosted it.
