Date: October 10th to 11th, 2026 Participant: Mikhael Zadoyan #7897 Race: 2026 Long Beach Half Marathon

A 1:46:16 on the flat coastal miles, held at eight-minute pace from start to finish Grey marine light over the harbour, salt in the air, rain and wind both threatening and never arriving about as close to perfect as this city gets for running. Mikhael Zadoyan of Granada Hills, age 15, went out brisk down Shoreline Drive with an opening mile near 7:26, reached three miles in 22:45 and six in 47:22, and kept rolling through Belmont Shore and the beach path. Ten miles came up around 1:20:23, helped by a quick stretch near mile 10 at roughly 7:51 pace, and the final tenth into Marina Green was covered at about 8:03 per mile a shade under the day's 8:06 average. The clock stopped at 1:46:16 in a half marathon field of 16,531. Not Fast, Just furious indeed. Long Beach was glad to have him.
