Date: October 10th to 11th, 2026 Participant: Vincent Silva #8139 Race: 2026 Long Beach Half Marathon

A steady, strengthening 2:10:43 along the harbour The grey marine light and salt air made for nearly perfect running weather, and Vincent Silva of Norwalk made the most of it, covering the half marathon in 2:10:43 at an average of 9:58 per mile, one of 16,531 runners on the Long Beach course. The opening mile went by in 11:13, and from there the pace kept tightening: 9:25 at mile three, a run of 9:47 and 9:51 through the middle, then roughly 9:18 and 9:17 around miles nine and ten, the quickest stretch of the morning. The cumulative pace, 10:28 at mile three, had been trimmed to 9:57 by mile ten and held near there to the line. Best of all was the finish, that last tenth clocked at 9:04 per mile pace into Marina Green. Team Back For Life, well represented.
