Date: October 10th to 11th, 2026 Participant: Dafne Gracia #9304 Race: 2026 Long Beach Half Marathon

A steady 2:38:16 along the water, closed with a kick Dafne Gracia rolled through 13.1 miles of grey marine light and salt air in 2:38:16, averaging 12:04 per mile across a half marathon field of 16,531 part of a sold-out weekend of more than 28,000 runners. The threatened rain and wind never arrived, leaving nearly perfect conditions from Shoreline Drive out past the Queen Mary and back to Marina Green. The pacing tells a lovely story: an opening mile near 12:28, then a sharpening to roughly 11:18 around mile three, and a long stretch through miles 8, 9 and 10 holding close to 11:45 apiece. Her cumulative pace sat at 12:05 from mile 10 all the way to mile 13, textbook consistency on a flat coastal course and then that final tenth, covered in about a minute flat at roughly 10:16 pace. Girls Run & Recover had every reason to cheer at the line.
