Consistent Start, Strong Finish with Minor Setbacks Brian Kim maintained a strong and steady pace through the initial six miles, consistently clocking around 11-minute miles. The first two splits recorded an impressive pace of 10:52 min/mile, maintaining his position at 1810th in his gender and 444th in his age division. A slight pace drop occurred in the third and fourth miles, but he regained momentum by the sixth mile, showing resilience. Between miles seven and ten, there was a noticeable decrease in pace, particularly in mile seven, which saw the slowest split at 14:04 min/mile. However, later splits showed an improved pace, with adjustments made in the final stretch. By the end of the race, Brian completed the half marathon with an elapsed time of 2:37:26, a solid performance with an overall pace of 12:01 min/mile. Continuing to focus on pace consistency in the future could yield even better results.
