Consistent Initial Splits, Challenging Final Miles In the 2026 Saucony Love Run Philly Half Marathon, Thomas Quaile displayed a strong effort, particularly in the first half of the race. He began with an impressive 9:53 min/mile pace in the first mile, gradually decreasing to a 9:04 min/mile pace by mile 4. Thomas maintained solid split times from the second to fifth mile, with consistent paces under 9:20 min/mile. However, the race's latter portion proved more demanding. From mile 6 onward, Thomas's pace progressively slowed, peaking at a 12:40 min/mile pace by mile 10. Despite this, he managed to finish with an overall time of 2:12:59, averaging a 10:09 min/mile pace for the entire race. Thomas placed 207th in the M40-44 division out of 255, showing a commendable performance for all 13.1 miles. Focusing on maintaining endurance in the later stages could enhance future performances.
