Steady Persistence with Consistent Splits Nicole maintained a consistent performance throughout the 13.1-mile course, with a final time of 2:44:05 and an average pace of 12:31 min/mile. She initially set a solid pace of 11:27 min/mile in the first mile, which gradually adjusted to around 12:31 min/mile by the end of the race. Notably, Nicole demonstrated admirable consistency in her splits, particularly between miles 3 and 5, maintaining a steady increase in pace just under 12:00 min/mile, before a slight slowdown started showing in the later stages of the race. The 7th and 12th miles proved slightly challenging, with split times of 13:27. Nonetheless, Nicole's position fluctuated, landing 269th in her age division out of 11587 participants. Working on even pacing could enhance her finish time in future races.
