Consistent Pace with Strong Finishes Starting the race with a solid first mile at a 5:47 pace, Andy McCormack quickly improved his position, reaching a peak placement of 16th overall at the 3-mile mark. Notably, the second mile was his fastest split, clocking in at 5:32. Throughout the race, Andy maintained an average pace of 5:43 min/mile, demonstrating consistent speed. The variance in split times was minimal, balancing his efforts well across the different segments of the course. His end-of-race push was commendable, recording a strong final surge during mile 11 with a split of 5:34, matching his earlier performance at mile 6. Concluding the half marathon with an official time of 1:15:05, Andy demonstrated a persistent effort, especially considering the competitive field of 11,587 participants.
