Consistent Start, Strong Finish Jaehwan Kim exhibited notable consistency in the first six miles with steady splits hovering around the 8:24 min/mile mark, maintaining nearly identical pacing. A strong performance was noted on mile five, with a faster split pace of 8:15 min/mile, indicating potential for speed bursts. The pacing slightly fluctuated afterwards, with a temporary drop to 9:00 min/mile at mile seven but quickly reverted to a swift 7:48 min/mile by mile eight, demonstrating resilience and agility. Despite a gradual pace decrease towards the end, with splits of 9:03 min/mile from miles ten through thirteen, Jaehwan completed the half marathon with an overall time of 1:53:10. His overall pacing was 8:38 min/mile. Impressively, he completed among the top 22% of participants, finishing 2517th out of 11,587. By refining the pace towards the race's final quarter, additional competitive advantage can be leveraged. Overall, excellent pacing and a commendable finish.
