Consistent Pacing and Steady Finish Heather maintained a steady start with her initial mile at a pace of 10:03 min/mile. Her pace showed consistency over the first half, only gradually slowing from 10:08 min/mile at mile 2 to 10:32 min/mile by mile 6. Its noteworthy that despite a progressive slowing, her place in the division F35-39 corrected at times, indicating strong competition management. The transition after mile 6 saw a change in pace, covering the subsequent miles with slight variations, such as an 11:12 min/mile at mile 6 and 11:55 min/mile at mile 7. In the later miles, Heather showed resilience, finishing the half marathon with a total time of 2:26:52 and an average pace of 11:12 min/mile. Reaching the 271st position in her division, the total participants tallied at 11,587. Future efforts could focus on maintaining mid-race momentum to achieve even pacing throughout.
