Consistent Start, Strong Finish Addison began her race with a steady start, maintaining a commendable pace in the first half. She opened with an 8:14 min/mile pace in the first mile and improved to 7:59 min/mile in the second mile, highlighting her initial strategy. Throughout the first 6 miles, she demonstrated consistency, staying within the range of 8:14 to 8:32 min/mile. In the latter half, Addison experienced a slight decline in her pace, reaching 10:35 min/mile by mile 12. However, she showed determination by stabilizing her pace at 9:36 min/mile in the final mile, leading to a total time of 1:59:29. She finished 69th in her division out of 11587 participants, which is a notable accomplishment. Focusing on maintaining the earlier pace beyond the halfway point could be beneficial for future races.
